Yes I know.--Wijze--It is an adjective like in ---a 'wise' person.
That was the easy part. In Dutch --ij--Takes the place of --Y-- in the alphabet. -ij- and also --ei-- have a pronounciation which English has no equivalent for.If you know Spanish than look up the word for -20- which is -Veinte.The --ei-- is about the same as --ij-- in wijze.I lived my childhood in the Netherlands.

I'm italian, but i know a bit of dutch, my girlfriend is dutch... wijze should be pronunced as "weize"... with a "soft" z..as weise..
