Hate and discrimination. I know it sounds negative of me to say such a thing, especially about something that many people would consider a "great thing" full of love.

1. Religion is only full of love to those who are in the or a religion. Everyone else is subconsciously targeted an "enemy". Let me explain:
Many people of faith have no problem with other people of faith, whether it's another faith or their own faith. However, when presented with someone who doesn't believe in God, they're defensive and cross.
2. Religion is full of hate in the sense that the bible is strict in who it deems "good" people. Homosexuality, something that's been going on for many hundreds of years in the animal kingdom, which we are apart of whether we want to admit to ourselves or not, we still condemn it in human society, because somehow we're better than the natural world. Religion is very unaccepting of those who are different.
4. Discrimination and hate: In the Southern part of America around Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. I was with my friend from the Middle East. Her name is Yulia and she's originally from Isreal. She was looked at like she was a monster and one woman actually asked us to leave because she thought she was going to bomb her store. - The woman in the store had a cross around her neck.

Another person said, "Letting those people in our country is almost as bad as letting gays in the military. What have we done to make the good lord so angry?"

I'm not a fan of religion..
More people have died in the name of God than for any other cause.

A great deal of criminal law is based on religious principles. And a primary cause of entitlement programs is religious sensitivity.
