No. This is an accusation that is put out by people that haven't really studied what the Bible really says.
They have judged the Bible by their own beliefs, instead of seeing what it actually says.
There are roles. Not superior/inferior, as these people think.
As a matter of fact, look at all the women's names Paul mentions in the letters. He even chose a woman to deliver the letter to the Romans. Women did many things, but according to their God-given roles.
In Christ, we are all EQUAL, but with different roles.
To accept the idea that Paul, or any other scripture writer, had been able to taint the writings with their own prejudices, is the same as saying the Bible is not inspired, or God's own words.

Paul was a product of his era, not a chauvenist and he probably was forwarding-thinking for his time. Some scholars have speculated that he was a Gnostic (the Church later disavowed any connection with Gnostic ideology but early Christianity--including that espoused by the Biblical Christ (in Gospel of John esp)--and especially the Christ represented in apocryphic tests (ie, the gospels that didn't make it into the Bible) reflected Gnostic ideas. It has also been speculated by scholars that Paul was a closeted homosexual, which explains his ideas about sex and celibacy.

Paul writings were inspirted by the Holy Spirit.
Actually, Paul let many women help him in the Ministry. I don't see him as a chauvanist.

Some people think so. However, for his time, he was a pretty "enlightened" individual.
Even as he tells women that they are to "submit" to their husbands, as the church submits to Christ, he also tells husbands to love their wives, as Christ loves the church, even to the point of dying for her.
The thing to remember is that Paul was a product of his culture.
Jesus, Himself, never condescended to women. At a time when women were not even allowed in the same room with men during worship, Jesus spoke to them one on one, giving them the same respect He gave any man.

He was a widowed or divorced man who loved all."There is now no difference in Christ between men, women,Jew, Gentile, slave or free."
Any chauvinistic tendecies were strictly cultural and just the way it was at that time.
No he was not a Homo.Leave that to the priests after 1100 AD.

God has an order, and of course people hate God and His order. Men are not better than women. But men are the teachers of women on spiritual matters. If that is "chauvanist" in your mind, too bad
