This is what I think...

Iron Mike punches hard,
receive too many, it is the grave yard.
So far, he's destroyed every fighter around.
Who can beat him? Where is he found?
Tyson stands in the middle of the ring,
about his greatness he sings,
Then from the dark comes, 'He will never beat me!'
Who? Yes! it is Muhammad Ali!
Ali jumps into the ring, with a thunderous roar,
saying: 'This is going to be a fight like never before!!!'
Tyson is too ugly to be king,
I'll kick his butt across this ring!'
The bell for round one sounds,
look at Ali dance around.
Pop...pop...pop, jabs to Tyson's face,
but can Ali keep up this pace?
Ali jabs like a piston,
and not one is a-missin'.
Ali jabs p-p-p-p-p, is all you hear,
in Tyson's eyes the look is fear!
Rounds three to seven, much of the same.
Ali is at the top of his game.
Then a right catches Ali flush,
and over the crowd comes a hush.
Ali staggers, is this the end?
If Tyson lands another, he will win!
Tyson can't hit Ali on the ropes,
Ali suckered him with rope-a-dope!
At the start of round nine,
Ali yells: 'Your behind is mine!'
Ali bounces off the ropes with a double-clutch shuffle,
a five punch combo, Tyson's knees buckle.
Ali punches so fast, Tyson head spins round,
Left Jab, Right Cross, Bolo Punch...TYSON IS DOWN!
Tyson laying on the ground,
Mills Lane steps in, and makes the 10 count.
ALI...ALI rings from the crowd,
Muhammad Ali, still the greatest around!
(ALI BY 9 ROUND KO)

It's just fact that a prime Tyson would destroy everyone in the heavyweight division. The more boxing skill and height advantage any of his opponents possessed, would be the only obstacle for Tyson in my opinion. That would of definitely applied to Ali.

I see Tyson charging Ali just like he did against Spinks and most of his other opponents. I don't see Ali/Clay getting pummeled though. Instead I see him dancing around Tyson and finding the shots needed to get the job done, using mind games, his hand/foot speed and just knowing the boxing ring. If you watch the Ali vs. Norton fight, watch how Norton measures Ali. I can't see Tyson doing that. Of course, the two have totally different styles to begin with. Ali vs. Tyson would of been like watching the Clay-Liston fight in a way, but Tyson would be much faster than Liston and more tenacious. If Tyson got a flurry of hooks and uppercuts in clean somehow, it could of been a long night for Mr. Ali and that's the only exeption. Sorry, but I just don't see Tyson outboxing Ali though. Why do think they call him "The Greatest of All Time"?

Depends on "which" Tyson you refer to. The one that anihilated Tyrell Biggs and Michael Spinks, or the one that slowly decayed after the unfortunate deaths of his mentors Cus D'Amato and Jim Jacobs. Mike Tyson was on his way to become one of the top five greatest heavyweights of all time, but once others more concerned with money (Don King, etc) got involved, he went in the wrong direction. Then he sacked his trainer Kevin Rooney, who was the only person who could train and get Tyson to be at his best, tactics and all. Next thing you know, you had "Team Tyson" with all the hangers on, and being trained by yes-men who didn't have a clue. We were robbed of seeing Tyson beating Marciano's record of 49 wins undefeated. The Tyson of old against the lighting fast Ali who dethroned Liston, the dream boxing match of all time. I think Tyson could have actually beaten Ali. Ali was never a big puncher, and Tyson's punch resistance would have nullified Ali's power. Many go on about when Tyson faces boxers who stand up to him, he can lose. True, but only in the latter half of his career. Tyrell Biggs wasn't afraid, but got minced, the same with Pinklon Thomas. Tyson really is a one off and I think that over 12 rounds, Tyson would nick the fight on sheer workrate and pressure fighting alone, but Ali's lightning jab would be a major factor in the fight. But over the old championship distance of 15 rounds in "Ali's Alley" (rounds 13-15) ?? Could Tyson's stamina have kept him going, or would Ali actually wear him down? Let the debate continue!

The thing, is Ali would not and could not be intimidated. Tyson faced maybe 2 legit fighters on his ascent to the top. If both were in there primes Ali could have easily handled Tyson. 5th or 6th round TKO.

Ali in his prime had such beautiful foot and head movement. The question is. Could Tyson get in and hit him solid? Or would Ali dance, sting like a bee, and take him into the later rounds and knock him out? ALI

Ali was a classy boxer. Tyson has no class. Ali would have played with Tyson all night. Ali win by decision.

Ali in his prime would win hands down because he used brains as well as power. Tyson was just a street brawler. He also would not get close enough to Ali to bite off any body parts.

Ali would have killed him. Tyson can't box and Ali would have pounded him all night and moved to miss everything Tyson would throw at him. Ali made a carear destroying big punchers like Tyson.

Ali. Without hesitation. He was a BOXER! A real thinker. He graced the ring with his intelligence and quick hands. Tyson would have been blowing out of his **** after 4 rounds swinging, then Ali would systematically pick him off, then land one of his famous uppercuts to Tysons glass jaw, sending him sprawling to the canvass.

Brains vs Brawn?

No contest.
