Late last week, President Bush awarded the third Medal of Honor (posthumosly) that has been awarded during the War on Terror. I heard about it Sunday on Fox, but have seen or heard nothing of it elsewhere. However, I've seen it all over the news that American soldiers during a raid on an Iraqi home may have desecrated the Koran.

Why is the news not reporting about the awarding of the Medal of Honor?

Sexy G----read what I wrote again; I said Bush AWARDED a 3rd MOH, not that he was AWARDED one. If you don't know what you're talking about, please don't answer my questions. Thanks.

Because the news media, minus Fox, is OWNED by the Liberal Democratic Party. Hence, ALL news will be slanted to the liberal bias agenda. ANYTHING good happening to do with the war on teror and the troops in Iraq will NOT be covered. It does not support the liberal bias.

Fox news is the ONLY exception to the rule. The report BOTH sides, giving more creedence to the GOOD rather than bad. Plain and simple. THAT'S why the Libs HATE Fox.

READ THE ARTICLE Libs. It said Bush AWARDED someone the medal. NOT that he was awarded it himself. *sigh*

Obviously no act of valor performed by a soldier, sailor, airman, or Marine who survived was judged by the chain of command to have risen to a level deserving of the Congressional Medal of Honor. While all the men and women serving their country are heroes, it doesn't follow that they all deserve the Medal of Honor. That is reserved for the bravest of the brave, who have risked their safety and their lives for the greater good above and beyond the call of duty. Only a tiny handful of those who have ever served have been so recognized. A president has nothing to do with vetting those who are nominated to receive the CMOH. The fact that you would denigrate the nation's highest award for courage under fire in this manner says FAR more about you than it ever could about either president.

The very fact that EVERY liberal to respond to this thread has made the same mistake of idiotically thinking that president bush was awarding himself with a congressional medal of honor is the reason i will probably decide to vote republican this time around too.

For SexyG I believe what the asker is saying is that President Bush gave another Medal of Honor to a deceased service member, not that he got one....

Because, in the interests of who the major news stations pander to (the liberals), they will not report on the positives or the actual accomplishments for the Iraq mission....

And of course, the first 2 answers in here show exactly why.... disgusting people that do nothing by uber-liberal ranting and sloganeering... these people do not want truth or positives... only things to support their 'everything Anti_Bush' agenda

Because reporting anything positive about the military is not in the liberal media playbook.

Oh, and sexy G is an apt name for someone who can't read. Bush AWARDED the metal, he didn't RECEIVE it. Twit.

Because the news you see is tailored to fit their agenda.

Heroic soldiers does not fit the liberal propaganda.

Because it didn't happen. Medal of Honor is for members of the military only. Most people awarded the Medal of Honor are killed in combat saving the lives of others.
