To those who believe Christians are forcing religion by standing up for what we consider moral standards. But when the secular society trys to pass a law that they consider moral it is not forcing it on us.

Ghost of Alice - How is it good for every oen to take a life? Such as the case of abortion.
How is it good for every one to compromise thier beiefs?
Mutterha - That is the way freedom works. I would oppose pass ing of such law. But they have a right to try and pass it .

Agreed. If I spend a few hours in front of the TV, I cannot help but get the secular porn / trashy dress / degrading media sterotype thing forced on me all the time. It's past time for us to stand up.

Secular law is imperfect because it's created by the imperfect. Christians cannot expect God's laws to major in a secular world.

Can you give an example of what you mean?
As an atheist I do not believe that ANY religious belief should be linked to a law. If you don't want to do something based on your religion, that is fine, but don't make me do the same. If I want to watch porn, get an abortion, swear in god's name, I should be able to legally, but that does not force someone to do them too.

Morals needn't be attached to religion. You suppose that everyone in the US is christian. What if a bunch of muslims tried to get sharia laws passed here. Would you be up for that?

God gave every individual a freedom to choose. It's up to you which one to pick according to your conscience. No force is being imposed on anyone. Ask, read, look around, meditate & pray. Good luck !

"Heyyyyy, they're starting to wake up!"
What set us apart from angels and other creations is free will. Free will to love and adore god (whomever you think he may be) and not to blindly follow religious dogma. go over all the sacred texts in all the major religions, they say the same thing.
So which is the real one? You decide, you have free will remember?

And can you provide an example of a secular law that "forces" itself on you?
