They believe that no gods exist in reality.
Beyond that, it's pretty much up for grabs; but most of us deny the existence of anything supernatural.

I'd say that I don't believe in any gods rather than I believe that there is no god. The difference is whether there is "belief" or not. This is the same as the way I look at Santa, I simply don't believe in him and consider Santa to be made up.
My lack of belief conflicts with religions in that they accept their religion as true and therefore believable, whereas I don't see any reason (evidence/proof) why their religion is true and therefore don't believe. Some religions seem to think that it is acceptable to enforce their morality through secular law and I am most definitely against this.

Atheists do not belive in any gods. Other religions, especially those in the US, seem to believe that all atheists are communists [which is definitely not true]. Some people think that you cannot lead moral life unless you hope for the reward of heaven and fear of punishment in hell. But when it comes right down to it Christians usually have a problem with anyone that isn't christian. That's not always the case but that's the deal the majority of the time.

Atheism is defined as the belief that there exist no real deities of any kind. Atheists are those who follow atheism. The beliefs of atheists are in conflict with those of christians because christians believe that God does exist. It's not really that complicated...

Personally I don't really use the term believe, as in my studies on various world religions I've come across Rastafarian, and one of it's statements indicate that to believe is to have doubt (which makes sense when you see the application of the word by this definition).
Therefore I'd rather not believe but know. I know there are no god/gods, therefore I'm an atheist by definition. This however does not mean that I lack morals, which I do have, nor deprives me from charity or service to others.

ok aitheists believe that there is absolutly no God, they usually (they pretty much have to to hold that there is no God) believe in Evolution.
If there is no God and we all came from nothing, which started spinning and picked up the dirt in the universe (I thought there was nothing) and then spun till it exploded and a planet was formed, and there is no real evidence of this as everything would still be spilling the same way and we spin backwards and sideways and both ways.
Since aitheists believe that we came from chemical soup, we then have no purpose for being here and are just random happenings, therefore morals don't make sence because why are we here? no reason. how should we live? ehhh however you want to, you came from soup.
The way that they conflict christians and/or other religions is that they believe we came from nothign and that quite possibly we could beccome gods or we already are gods of our own universe.
Christians believe that we are subject to one true God who made us.
So why are we here?
We have a loving creator who loves and knows all of us.
How should we live?
The way our loving creator wants us to live.
Where do we go when we die?
If we accept Gods amazing gift of savior from our sins (everyone would admit that we sin, alot) then we go to this place that is unimaginably wonderful and just beyond compare
Just thought I would give you a comparison, I hope I spelled out what atheists believe for you because that was your question.
Atheists:
No God
Nothing Randomly Exploded
We exsist because chemicals created themselves
Email me if you want more information,
Hope it helps,
Jess

I don't believe in a higher power, nor the bible. I also believe that all religions are good in the sense that they give people who believe a sense of solice which is ok for them. I don't think I need that in my life to make me happy. I was brought up Catholic and what drove me away from faith is the hierarchy in the church was supposed to be celebate men, and look where that lead them. The whold church experience feels like a waste of time for me. I live my life by helping my fellow man when they are in trouble, not because god tells me its the right thing to do, but because I know in my heart its the right thing to do. Mean while, I am not trying to force my views on anyone, they are mine and mine alone and if people want to believe in any religion let them do so by their own free will and I will not push my views on anyone, and I wish that they wouldn't push their views on me.

It is simply the disbelief in God.
Some extend this to all metaphysical entities, others are more circumspect and just deny the concept of a creator.
It is in direct conflict with the faiths of Abraham since they posit the existence of God.
In terms of relationships to other faiths - not so antagonistic perhaps due to the fact that they do not live in countries/areas with such a high density of other beliefs.

We all believe different things. The only thing all atheists have in common is not believing in gods.
Personally I am a neo-platonist atheist. I believe nature is based on ( actually IS ) Mathematics (Necessary Logical Truth ). It looks like space/time/mass/energy because we see so little of it and we can't see it as it truly is.

...and me, a person who wanted to believe in God my whole life but never saw anything supernatural. Prayed one day with tears in my eyes for God to show me proof that my parents would be ok after the passed on. And then I saw the spirit of a child and then another and another. Now I am a paranormal investigator.

We have only one thing in common and that is a total lack of belief in any god(s). Most also disbelieve in anything supernatural or paranormal. Apart from that we are all very different, politically, socially in every way.
