Religion is the invention of humans. There is not any one particular human or group of humans that started the idea. Religion is primarily a means of making the mysterious somewhat more understandable. It is alos a means for justifying death.

Man

"There are no extant textual sources from the Neolithic era, the most recent available dating from the Bronze Age, and therefore all statements about any belief systems Neolithic societies may have entertained are glimpsed from archaeology.

The archaeologist Marija Gimbutas has notably put forward views which describe a matriarchal "Old Europe" set of societies dominated by goddess worship, in particular postulating a bird goddess and a bear goddess. Gimbutas considered the Bronze Age Minoan civilization a native continuation of Neolithic Europe, with the labrys and bull worship continuing symbols of matristic power. Gimbutas' views are popularly repeated in feminism, and were syncretized into Neopagan currents such as Wicca."

You can't just say god made religion since not everyone believes in God, look at our world there are so many beliefs and religions not all of them are based on god. So it would seem that God really didn't make religion. I would say that humans created religion to be at peace in mind since there is so many beliefs.

neither. People did.

God is the same, however different cultures have different customs so they have adapted the religion to their customs.

As for which humans... religion kept evolving during history. There are many who had an influence over various religions. Just look up on wikipedia a given religion. You will see there that X, Y , Z,... did so and so and changed so and so...

no ghod did not make relegions.
what I fell after studying all the various history refrences and i don;t know if ,y theory is right or wrong, but at the early phases of civilization, man din;t have any relegion. we all were clustered in samll groups which spread over the terrain of the present earth. Man feared nothing and worshipped nothing.
the clan heads probably(they were smart)......wanted their tribe and their clan to have a feeling of oneness and unity. It is very important for man to associate with each other or else we will persigh divided.
someone who was smart thought about organizing the race in gropus.
so if I'm a inca emplies I worship at the ziggiruit and every inca will do the same....i will meet all others of my race there and I will feel strong......i will fight for my clan because I know they are my people.
this mental block made people identify themselves to one another.
and thats basically what relegions were actually made for......it is a group of people who have similar thoughts and ideas and something common to everyone........their own god...it gives them a sence of belonging and pride.

god is a vague concept..........it is the ultimate........we all think of him as having a different form but he certainly preached only one relegion----that of humanity and mankind.

both god and humans made religion. god made something to worship, and humans choose to worship him which in combination makes religion. I'm christian so i think the 12 apostles were the humans that started worshiping Christ.

No he didn't.

He gave us faith. Faith to believe in Him.

All of the religions that ever were and ever will be are a product of man trying to reach out to God in various ways.

The reality is that there is only one way to reach out to the one God, and that's through faith in him.

Now if you want to learn what faith is, read the book of Hebrews, Chapter 11.

Cheers.

Man made religion. In Christianity the Bible says you are saved by Grace and not by faith. Meaning your faith won't save you.
