For 1500 years Christianity was basically represented to the non Christian world through the RCC.

In other words, are Protestants saying that the non Christians were correct in calling early Christianity the wrong path for 1500 years ?

Yes or No ?

Were the enemies of Christianity correct back then......... and the Protestants are correct right now ?

Here is a more accurate analogy:

The RCC guided Christianity for 1500 years the same manner as the United States guided demoncracy for the last 1000 year.

Saying it is so (even if it is your doctrine) does not make it so. History in general does not support your claim, and the Bible certainly does not support RCC doctrines

FYI - Re: above, CJ says some incorrect things, but in general here he is correct. There are multiple RCC edicts that prohibit the ownership and reading of the BIble (this has of course been changed). Consider:

COUNCIL OF TOULOUSE - 1229 A.D. - Banned bible ownership and reading (Canon 6. Directs that the house in which any (Bible owner) shall be found shall be destroyed)

THE COUNCIL OF TARRAGONA - 1234 A.D. - Banned Bibel ownership

INDEX LIBRORUM PROHIBITORUM 1515 A.D. - The Bible was listed as a prohibited Book

There are many more examples, but these prove the point - the RCC was historically not the friend of a simple, Bible believing Christian

i do no longer think of everyone disputes that the RCC have been answerable for representing Christianity all those years. yet God has used people alongside the thank you to maintain the Church from following traditions that have been around long previously Jesus got here and to end the hierarchy of the Church from monopolising issues, and to end the idolatry. yet even the Protestants have it incorrect. i think of the Denomination that maximum accurately follows the hot testomony writings is the SDA's, of which i do no longer belong, yet am thinking approximately transforming into to be a member of.

You're talking about 2 groups who are both wrong. It's hard to pick between the 2.

I am a Protestant, and I will agree that many of us are ignorant and mistaken about much of the Catholic Church. Ignorance and prejudice are always wrong, no matter where it comes from.

That's a lie. True Christians always avoided the catholic cult. The first Christians were Jews. Catholics murdered everyone found owning a Bible.

Catholics are not saved Christians. Weren't then, and aren't now.
