Thinking about Noah?
He never saw it either, yet he believed that somehow God would cause a flood. He didn't know how, or really what, but he believed God...and that's faith.

Lots of drops of water that fall from the clouds all at once. And a blind person might have never seen rain.

I would explain it like this.......................
Soak some lentils in cool water till they are slimy and drain them. Have that person hold their hands out and lightly drop them over their hands. Then explain it is like little sparks that are shiny and when they land they burst and cover the the surface like smooth tiny jewels. It comes from above you like a sparkling hug that covers the area and the coolness is from the wind sheer from them falling and the feeling you should encounter is like a relieving sigh that engulfs you.

Take them to a lake, and pour water on them.
Say this the same the rain from heaven, if it was not so, it would not be a lake here!

I'd sign them up for a course in meteorology and and have them watch the Weather Channel.
