okay, listen:
What ever anyone says, PS3 is better than XBox 360 for various reasons (for example, internet is free) i won't go through all the reasons because there are too many too list, you'll just have to research it.
Then, I can safely say that any PS3 game beats the best PS2 games by a bit. Some games are better than other (depending on the company that makes the games), and whether the graphics are good or not depends also on your TV.
If it is not HD, like mine, the graphics are good, but not majorly better that the PS2, for that, you need a HD TV, to get the real difference everyone is talking about. If you have this type of TV, then yes, the MAJORITY of the games are very lifelike, and they will get better, as the PS3 has only come out recently, and has not yet reached its full potential that will make it a lot better that the XBox 360.

It depends on the game. Heavenly Sword looks lifelike. The head-hair looks a little weird, but everything else looks very realistic. Resistance is the same way. Meanwhile, games like Folklore, Ratchet and Clank Future and Warhawk have great graphics but don't look real at all.
I think the difference between the systems is that the PS3 has more potential to reach that lifelike appearance. If you take a look at early screenshots for the two Final Fantasy 13 games, you'll see graphics that only the PS3 can realistically create.

It does depend on the game (and how lifelike the dev.s want it to appear).
Things like Gran Turismo 5 really do look lifelike, but Ratchet and Clank is a cartoony style of game anyway (but still looks really good)

They look great on a PS3 and also a 360 ignore the idiots saying get xbox 360 ps3 is rubbish they probably never playe d a PS3 b4.
