Is it really necessary to hate another because of their beliefs? Do you have to force feed your beliefs down everyones throat, judging them every step of the way? Does it not say Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged?

Well first of all, this question in breeding hatred for Christians but Christ said we would be hated because of Him. So that's cool by me. However in response to your question, 1 John 4: 20-21 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

So my answer is if some one is feeding hatred, they are not really a Christian. Christian can be interpreted Christ like and anyone who is Christ like loves all people and does not hate. So, you are not really talking about a true Christian, you are talking of some one who claims to be but has no relationship with Christ.

Have a nice day! =)

I don't think most Christians hate others for their different beliefs. No, I don't force feed my beliefs on anyone and I try very hard not to judge people. That's a little more difficult because I think it's human nature to compare and judge others. I'm sorry your experiences have been bad concerning Christians. I hope you realize though, when you're standing at the throne of God awaiting your judgment, that He won't take "The other Christians were mean to me" as an excuse for not accepting his salvation through Christ. Being a nice person will not save your soul. Find your own way to Christ, there are many, many wonderful churches around. Keep looking until you find one that feels like home. They're around. Blessings!!

I've never force fed anyone, anything-including my beliefs. Nor do I judge someone because they believe differently.

I'll admit some do but that's true of any belief system, even if you're an atheist. It wouldn't be called a faith if you didn't believe it to be true.

If I tried something & found it to be true wouldn't it be rather selfish to keep it to myself? So why are christians the only ones you condemn and/or criticize? Would you feel the same way if I made a million bucks on the stock market & tried to tell you how to do the same? Why is religion different?

People who judge others for believing differently are just normally critical people. Religion just gives them an excuse (notice I didn't say reason, just excuse). You have already reached the belief ALL christians hate & judge & you're spreading that belief by your question. So tell me how your belief is different and/or superior?

I'm not trying to be critical of you. I'm just trying to get you to see that sometimes we need to look at the man in the mirror before being critical of others based solely on their beliefs or the lack thereof.

Are you feeling convicted?

Christian do not force feed hatred. Christianity is all about love. The only thing that Christian should hate is the sin, not the sinner.

If you feel that you are being judged because of your life style or actions, then it might be God dealing with your soul and you are just taking it out on Christians in general.

Ever heard of don't shoot the messenger? Christians are only messengers of the word of God, they did not write the rules or the book for that matter.

As a Christian your question really bothers me, not that you asked it but that your experience with those of us who call ourselves Christians has been so awful. I unfortunately have to agree, it is a question I ask my self all the time. Why do we as followers of Christ present to the world such a hateful and mean spirited attitude, why do we let people like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson represent us.
Let me say that not all of us are like this although that sounds hard to believe, I believe my job or duty as a Christian is to love people and show the love of Christ, not talk to them about their sin, Lord knows I have enough of my own to worry about. A persons sins or faults is between them and God, if you ask my advice I will try to share in a way that is loving and kind, but I will not go against what the bible says.

What do you call hate? Because someone thinks sin is wrong is not hate. I despise abortion to I hate the mother who has one no. I want to have compassion on that person. Do I hate a person who is trapped in homosexuality no. Christ taught to love one another but to set ourselves apart from the sin. There is a major difference. If you want to run from God and his laws he gives you the freedom to choose. But one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess....
I not perfect by far, I make mistakes I need to work at issues in my life. But I know when I die where I will send eternity.
Try and imagine how long that is.

I agree that we are not to judge each other, but I think it is human nature to want to believe you are in the group that is "right". As long as you believe in the Lord and the preachings of the Bible, and live by them, then you are in favor with God. You are supposed to share His word with others, to try to spread His word of love and forgiveness and eternal life, but sometimes it is best to lead by example rather than shoving it down people's throats; that just makes them turn further away from Him.

never trust anyone too much who wears their religion on thier sleeves. most of the time they are the most evil ones. myself being catholic, I think alot of christians are hypocrites. Christians have used religion for many years as an excuse for unjust wars, slavery and genocide. for the most part they dont live pious lives and only the most orthodox christians follow the dietary requirements. I for one dont cram my religous beliefs down the throats of others and I am tolerant of whatever path one chooses

You are right and I agree with you, 1 john 2: 9-10 states that any one hating his brother is still in darkness.
