We developed a sense of good and evil as a society. When we are young, we feel it is fine to hit our playmate to get the toy we want to play will. As we grow, we are taught that is isn't right, and our sense of morality develops.
What our society declares immoral isn't the same as other cultures. Incest is one such thing that is now taboo and considered immoral, but in other cultures (ancient egyptian, for example) it was perfectly acceptable.
So...what part of the christian worldview did I use to object to your argument?

Good is anything that is beneficial to mankind and evil is anything that is detrimental to mankind.
It is that simple, and I don't need a spiritual book to help me understand that.
Surely you have read your Bible through. Surely you believe that you worship the same God who helped the children of Israel through the desert to the promised land.
That being the case, how can you justify his systematic genocide of the Gentiles living there? Chances are, you, yourself are a Gentile, yet you worship a God who killed mothers and babies because of their upbringing.
I understand that following Numbers 5, would be an act of evil towards my wife. The bible that you claim to get your morality from does not.
I understand that 2 Timothy 2:11-15 is morally inconsistent with my beliefs, and believe that women have more value than to remain silent and un-opinionated. I would never claim that they can only be saved though childbirth, and find that doctrine morally deficient. But Paul the Apostle disagreed.
Claiming that morality and the ability to distinguish good from evil is a Christian worldview is not at all true, as Christians choose to omit OT law and even ignore many NT doctrines. It also opens the door for genocide, because with that view, countries like Japan, China and Indonesia are lacking morals and are unable to determine good from evil. It creates an environment that allows people to justify war against non Christian nations. Which explains the Christian response to the Iraq war, quite well.

Pick up any general psychology book and it will explain to you social conditioning. You have to understand that morals are NOT universal. In the far east suicide is considered "honorable" while is most western Christian countries it's illegal. That is only one example. There are thousands. Some mental illness are even culture oriented. Keeping that in mind, parents raise thier children according to THIER cultures norms, laws, etiquette and morals. Religion might reinforce those morals and beliefs, but it's social conditioning that ingranes them into us. Not the Bible. Some of the nicest people I know are Satanist and atheist. They do more community service then most Christians I know. Most Christians pray for God to save the world. Many "unbelievers" go and do it themselves. Which one is more effective?
Oh yeah, *drink*

Very, very true!
There is no way to prove that God did not
give us all morals to begin with (and the
Bible actually talks about how the Gentiles
(non-Jews) have a law on their hearts:
Romans 2:14-15 (New International Version)
14(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)

If you are simple man & you want to see your Lord.simple you see the example of man who made aotomatic plains and control them from land to sky with computers. So, why not Our God controls all Universe From so much distance. So the basic thing is that the distance from your eyes to God is much that you can't see Him.

Except most people's opinion of God is small and petty though most people wouldn't state it that way and would deny it if challenged but the person called god in the bible is petty, and emotionally childish, vindictive and jealous.
His universe is meant to be 6000 years old when science tells us its 13.7 billion years? The universe is far too grand and beautiful to need something so pathetic as a little man starting it up.

People instinctually know what's good and evil. Although these ideas are subjective and you think your religion has objectified them. There are many cultures who had never heard of Christianity or your God but still know what is right and wrong. People knew before your religion ever existed.

So many people want to remake God in their image saying things like "If I were God...." or "If God is this why doesn't He do that?"
If God were subject to our whims, then He would not be the all-powerful God!
You're right - if we could fit Him into a box, then He wouldn't be much of a god, would he?

Gee, I was socialized to understand right from wrong. Productive from destructive. I never searched for a reason not to believe, I just never found a reason to believe. And believe me, I was motivated to look for a reason to believe in this very religious part of the world.
Good and bad are made-up terms for religious people to make themselves superior to those "other" people and ideas.
