I think you should start looking for a new job. Think about it, what would you do if you were in you bosses shoes and you told an employee to show up and they didn't AND never called. I worked for human resources and that would be grounds for dismissal. Unless there was some kind of emergency that prevented you from contacting your employer.

Ok, so you have done something a little silly but at the end of the day, a job's a job. You come first. Just go to work, apologise once and see how it goes. They cannot sack you if you have a work contract and you have not had any warnings so at worst they will give you a warning. Work is not worth worrying about this much. I put work first and worried about similar things for ten years and your employer doesn't think any more of you (unless they are the owner of the company and really cool). Anyway, relax and whatever will be, will be.

I hate to say this, but if I were your boss and you blew off work two days in a row without calling, you'd be gone. But maybe your boss is cooler then me. Just be honest with them, thats the best thing you can do. Dont lie about it! It makes things worse, I promise!

well, regardless you needed to call in.. If your policy is to call in then you must do so... I would show up for work and talk with your boss knowing what you did was wrong but you were under dire circumstances... Maybe if she heard the truth she would just give you a warning as long as you haven't done this before...

If I was your boss, and you didn't show up or call in for 2 days in a row, I'd consider you as having abandonded your job. Unless you have a really good reason, like you were unconscious in the hospital, I'd be looking for a new job.

Do you really like your job? Because it doesn't sound like you do. Let's say you do, and you want to keep it. Show up on time, apologize profusely, explain that there were accident-related problems that kept you from work and see what happens. Oh, and never do that again. Phoning in, even with a little white lie, is better.

Yer I used to be like then I decided to work from home which I think is the best idea because I can be my own boss. Yer looks like you'll have to tell her you were sick and couldn't show up but be prepared for a good talking to.

Well, your first mistake was not going to work on Saturday like you were told to do. You need to go in today and face whatever you have to face. Your actions sure don't match those of someone who wants to keep her job!

If I was your boss and you didnt call or show up when you were suppose to, I would write you up, suspend you or fire you.

You're deciding to show up today?
Hallelujah!
You'd be history already if I were your boss.
