I'm in a design firm, and I've a website showing my own travel sketches. I want people to visit my website, is it ok to send out email to all coworkers about my own website?

If it's not work related, don't send the email to all of your co-workers. If there are one or two people you're especially close to go ahead and send it to them, but I don't recommend sending it to everyone. It's not professional, and it could get you into trouble (not to mention it's highly annoying to those people who aren't interested).

personally i would reccomend informing my coworkes by a biz card outside the office maybe at lunch or something. Sending an email can seem a bit cocky and overwhelming to some.

I would send the link to a few co-workers who you would consider to be fairly close friends and tell them they can pass it along to whomever else they think might be interested. That way you are not tooting your own horn.
Although you are still using company email for non-company use and might get in trouble.

Well I wouldn't. I mean everyone is different. I am very personal when it comes to people I work with. I don't even keep pics on my desk. Those who I wish to share my pics with I show them. Keep your distance with co-workers. Unless you are an aquarian and analyze characters, I wouldn't chance it.

No. If there's a public bulletin board at work (advertising a car or other item for sale) put up a notice about it there.

yes,unless any body knows about ur website how can u expect any body to visit ur site.send more and more emails to all ur coworkers aswell as all ur friends,relatives and to all ur contacts.best of luck.

no, I would not do that... It may be grounds to fire you if you are caught... I would do it off hours.... but to their own personal emails not work ones...
