Absolutely! I'm a Christian, and there are LOTS of things I admire in atheists:
1. The fact that most of them do lead pretty moral lives, despite not having a "religious code" of some kind to live by.
2. Their intelligence.
3. They know the Bible better than many Christians do. It's a sad fact, but it's true. They may not understand it, but they've read more of it.
4. Atheists like Red Queen, Deke, Bad Liberal, and many others I can't think of right now have restored my faith in humankind. And they've done this WITHOUT believing in God. I think that's amazing.

That's all I can think of right now...but I really do think the world of MOST of the atheists on this site, and most atheists I know personally. So (((atheists on R&S))), and thanks guys! You rock!

Sure. I admire lots of theists.

And in general I admire their ability to stand by their personal decisions and beliefs. But I admire that in anyone...

of course I acknowledge it. but it's different for each individual. I've known theists that are very trustworthy, some that are reallyl funny, and some that are good musicians. I don't believe there are any all encompassing traits for the group though.

Of course. There are many things I admire in atheists. Many of my closest friendships and most meaningful relationships have been with people who do not believe in the same God that I do, or any gods at all. Like so many others said, it's an individualized thing.

What's awful is when you write off an entire group because of your silly assumptions and stereotypes, like Morticia. I don't need you telling me what I believe and why I believe it, honey.

I admire a lot of things in atheists who are good people. I also respect their choice what they make with their free will regarding my Lord.

i admire Theists for their qualities....just as anyone else

for instance, Primoa is a nice guy, does that make him right? no, but he's a nice guy...

Just as there are fellow atheists on here that i can't stand, every post that i read i'm just thinking "what an idiot"

I admire those theists such as Jimmy Carter who can be good decent mostly rational people despite their religious upbringing.

Atheists - they don't buy words, and believe in personal experiences. they are firm and defend themselves with their own gestures, instead of opening a book and read to argue. I'd say they have a sharp mind.

Theists - .they have a tremendous amount of patience and ability and guts to follow . they chose seeking instead of diverting for nothing, they dont doubt their senses. they have a mild heart .

Those who keep their mind open to ALL the possibilities earn my respect.

Those who don't earn my pity. And possibly a thumbs down for their response.
