I like people who answer my questions to be treated fairly.

Sometimes cool people get thumbs down for telling jokes on my questions, or just being honest with their disagreement and I don't like that. If they don't offend the person asking then who are any of us to thumbs down the answer.

Be nice: Give it a thumb up or leave it alone.

You'll have to talk to the Yamster about this one.
Yahoo Answers gives users the ability, and the right, to state their opinion of the answers they read to the questions.
Some people may be abusing this right, but, overall, I think it is a good thing for people to be able to express their opinion.
You and I disagree about almost every single thought we have, evidently. Yet, I would not want to stop you from being able to express your opinions...even when I find them...questionable.
If I give someone a thumbs up or a thumbs down, (which I rarely do), it is because something in that answer either completely impressed me, or completely disgusted me.
Trolls and bashers deserve all the thumbs down they get...no matter whose opinion they are trashing.
If you want nice, you gotta play nice. That's the way it goes.

Perhaps the "Thumbscrews" advertised with this question would be a good remedy... lol

Amen! I have a few thumbs-down stalkers who do that to people who answer my questions; it's annoying.

Lol! They're up and at it already!
