We do not have enough information about your mom's coma to give much in the way of advice in your special situation.
If your mom is in a coma, I dearly hope she is under the care of a hospital and a team of physicians. If you and the family are not happy with your mother's care, you may ask for other opinions. That is always your right.
Often this is a matter of limited communication between the medical team and the family. This is extremely time consuming. I had many ICU patients during my years of medical practice. The family members would ask me the same questions every day when I made rounds. I tried to answer every question as completely as possible, but sometimes people fail to understand. Often there would be different family members present, so I would have to explain things over and over. Many doctors stop trying to explain since there simply are not enough hours in the day. If you have twenty seriously ill patients in the hospital (as I often did), it is impossible to spend half an hour explaining the situation each day and still take care of the patient - - plus documenting in the records everything you have done and explained. For each conversation with patient or family, there was time spent writing notes in the record to document the discussion for medical legal reasons.
Often there are no answers that a family wants to hear. Statements such as "We simply cannot predict how long a coma will last." are generally poorly accepted by family members.
I understand your frustration. I hope you can understand that doctors do not have all the answers in every situation. Often we can only do our best and pray for a good outcome. The body heals itself better than many of our interventions as doctors. Sometimes the best test is the "test of time."

My brother was in a coma years ago. And it helped for my Mother to go there and see him and talk to him. Usually something that is very familiar to the comatose person. can sometimes bring them out of it. Try playing her favorite music, or read to her a familiar story that she used to read to you. Scent can also help. If she likes the smell of roses get her some roses and some rose spray. or try using her favorite perfume. Try doing anything that will bring her memory to come to her,and possible wake her up. The things that meant the most are the things that could help her come out of it. Smell, music, your voice, anything familiar can help.
Sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time in life and I do hope that you are able to get her back to normal.
my brother lost his short term memory. and has completely changed his personality with it. strange how that works.
My best to you, and my prayers also for you mother to come out of her coma.
Hang in there.
