There's lots of things that can go wrong with this type of complaint, so you will have to start diagnosising this. Check for lack of spark output and/or fuel pressure when the motor quits. Access the PCM and tap on the box when the motor is running and if it stalls when you tap on the PCM, you will need a new computer. There are so many things that cause stalling, you have to check for what isn't working when the car won't start and then check through that system to see what has happened.

The first thing that I will need to know is what type of cutlass you have, In that year they made a Calias, and a Cierra. Both with front wheel drive. and a lot of different motors and fuel delevery systems. It does sound like a fuel system problem but are you going to be able to trouble shoot the problem when this happens or repair it if is something simple? Will need the motor size at least.
