I just started recently, in the last month it has happened about 3 times. I dont have insurrance that would cover this for going to the doctor so i want that to be a last resort. I am a heavier set male, and my first thought was diabites but i have not had any other symptoms. Also, i was diagonosed with sleep apnea, but i never was able to get the machine for it. I also have been dealing with alot of congestion and difficulty breathing during the day....like i said any suggestions with out having to see a doc. would be good. Thanks,
Tom

Well, I`ll give this a shot. Maybe being heavier set you don`t sense the urge to urinate while your sleeping. You could be a hard sleeper and the sleep apnea machine would definitely help. It may also be as simple as a urinary tract infection. Difficulty breathing while your awake should be a red flag to you. Try some decongestants, and change your diet, and get some moderate exercise. Loss of weight may help all of your problems.

Definitely try not having anything to drink after 5 PM or after your Dinner drink. Then be certain to empty your bladder before going to sleep. To the Bathroom first thing in the morning. If that works you should be all right, if not then consider seeing a Dr. Loosing some weight is a good idea as well, work on that, by exercising and reducing calories. Best wishes and get well soon

Hi Tom....unfortunately I am going to tell you something you already know.....loose weight....sometimes diabetes is controlled by your weight and sleep apnea has a lot to do with weight. Stay away from dairy (milk cheese) products as they cause phlegm. Don't drink before you go to bed....if you are thirsty try ice, cut out the soda.....you will be amazed when you cut out what you drink, and see the pounds melt off. Just try. Your weight may be all in the front of you and this will enhance all of the problems you are having....hence the bladder has a lot of weight on it and control is hard to keep. Good Luck Tom

I don't have insurance either.. so I really do feel your pain. But on the other hand... that bill is a lot better than dying in your sleep one night because you didnt go get it checked out.

I just had a friend's husband pass away a few months ago... He was only 32, he was over weight.. but they never knew the cause!!! SCARY

Talk to your Dr. Would you insurance accept a refeal from your regular Dr. to go to a Urologist? Also, enuresis can be cause bey stress, or other medical conditions. Don't be embarrased there are lots of people who are enuretics. If nothing else, consider buy depends, or chuks, or something along that line. And also maybe a matress protection sheet.

You've eliminated the only sure-fire way to tell what's going on with you.

Since a doctor is out of the question.....try losing about 10% of your weight and see if that helps all the troubling health problems you have.

How about you avoid drinking anything up to 5 hours before going to bed? Especially diuretic drinks like coffee??

Also, do you happen to be massively overweight too? I ask that because people think that's normal but it is very related to all sorts of bad stuff.

if I were you I would find a way of seeing the doctor. Bed wetting for an adult male could a symptom of something very serious, for example prostrate cancer. Go Now!
