I think it's wrong! they think that the employer wont care to ask but if they do, then what will they do?! they'll be stuck.. it's better to remain honest than make up fake experience if in reality little or no experience exists! dont you think?

You will almost always get caught, no matter how small the lie...example:

My husband insists on wearing glasses to job interviews because he thinks it makes him look smarter (he's already a brilliant computer programmer so I dno't know why he feels the need to do this except for the fact that he looks young.) Anyway...he doesn't need nor wear glasses on a daily basis, only to job interviews. So, at his last job he wore the glasses. He got the job and on his first day - presto! the glasses were gone. Woudln't you know his boss asked him what happened to his glasses...they all had a good laugh about it (since he didnt' actually lie about his experience - he only falsified his personal appearance). but in any case, if you lie you'll usually get caught!

It's absolutely a bad idea to lie about anything on a resume or job application. While some things may pass without notice, most lies can be uncovered with just a single phone call. Plus, if you do get the job and the lie comes out later, it can be grounds for immediate dismissal.

For me, its still best to be honest and truthful about previous work experiences. I would not take the risk of being caught during spontaneous background check. It would be very embarrassing and at the same time, my credibility will be at stake. I would rather be accepted because of my real data than live in deception. Besides, truth has its way of surfacing on least expected time. Why waste a potential opportunity for fraud and dishonesty?

No. If you can handle the job responsibility then I give you my blessing to lie about your experience. If you get caught in a lie then learn how to lie better or chalk it up to a failed attempt. But try again. You are competing with liars and will lose the opportunity to someone not as competent at handling the job as you. You are doing these people a favor if you are competent enough to handle the job. But I'm sure you will let your conscience afford you to lose out on opportunities. That's how people like you always end up talking it up about what you could've done rather then what you have done.

Absolutely not!!!!!, and if you are hired and its found out that you lied on your resume you will be fired. That could ruin your chances of finding employment elsewhere. Its Never a good thing to put fake experiences on a resume.

you know what sometimes is ok to lie because employer's expect so much from you that you are the best among the rest. It is a competition and you shall do whatever it may takes just to fill the position available.

IF the employer catches you lying on your employment app, it is usually grounds for immediate dismissal from your job.
