Have you ever went out of your way and gave them a dollar for a meal, to help them out, to find out what their problems are?
It's easy to put people down, isn't it, but hard to help them out. When I lived in the Southwest I went out of my way to stop and help the needy.
My wife and I still make a box of food every month as part of our own grocery shopping list. We're very close to SS so we have to be careful but, we get what we can to bring it to the church for the needy.
