there was no need for it as they have a drive but just seem to like parking infront of my house , why ?
any way needed the car to take the kids to school, its a good mile away and it was raining.
Knogked their door no answer, rang the bell, used the knocker, called up to the bed room window to move the car, eventually they did, after about 10 minutes of me knocking louder and louder.
we live in a very quiet road want do the neighbours in the road think of me now ?
do you think they we keep well clear of me now ?

no, they probably did it to annoy you to start with

Dont even think about bothering the other neighbors. If they looked out their windows they could probably see what was wrong, and probably thought the owner of the car an idiot. I would ask them nicely to make sure they dont block your drive. And just check outside a bit before you leave and if they happen to block it again, then call the police to have it towed. Just say that you woke up and went to leave and this car was blocking your drive. They should impound it.

Or, if your neighbors think that they can block your drive when they want, why not drive over to their driveway. I'm sure they'd get the idea when they see tire tracks from your drive through THEIR yard around their car. Make sure to really hit the gas if your upset too.

I think that your neighbours and the ones that blocked you in will understand. They obvioulsy realise that they were parked in the wrong place as they came out to move their car.

It seems as though they need to use their driveway and not park in front of your house. If you don't want this to happen again then you should speak to them and ask politely if they can park on their drive as you have to take your children to school also explain that it's inconvenient for you, to have to knock on their door each time this happens. You simply cannot afford to keep doing this.

Hopefully they will not do it again. Sometimes at night when people are parking, they don't realise that they are in someone's driveway (especially if they were out having some cocktails or got in really late and are tired.) This is still no excuse, but hopefully they are embarrassed enough about it that they'll be sure not to do it again. If they do, call the cops and have them towed...it's your right. They shouldn't be upset with you for making them move, as it was their fault. If they are upset with you, that just proves that they're jerks. Don't stress, things will work out. Good luck!

If this is an ongoing problem then you might want to consider calling the police or even a tow company to have it removed.
I would not worry about what the neighbors are thinking of you because you have not done anything wrong.
They are the ones how should be worried and you would be well within your rights to have the car towed at their expense.
Maybe then they would get the message.

Unfortunately, I have a neighbor just like yours. I have asked them politely to not park behind my car, I have knocked on their door and asked them to come out and move the car. I tried to reason with the mother and she told me of how she can't see when people park around her -- I said, "Then surely, you can understand why I can't see either!!! not to mention the fact that I don't want to hit your car and wreck mine." She honestly didn't register my complaint. It took three years of this ...... and we don't speak. Isn't that silly!!! Educated people can't find a way to accommodate each other. If we can't help each other out in a sub-division, how in the world will we ever have peace in the world? Sad. Good luck.

Jeez Louise! You were overly and dramatically nice to your ignorant neighbors! Nothing says it best like a loud horn and let it do the rest. You did your part, you knocked and called, to no avail. The horn was your best bet or you could have called the police as a 2nd option too. Tell them to park in their own damned driveway or in front of their own damned house! When you actually see them that is!

Is your car a banger and their's a nice new shiny monstrosity? Could you replace yours for fifty quid?

If the answer to both is 'yes', what I suggest is this.

You've already had to ask them once to move their car. They should get the picture that you don't appreciate being blocked in on your own driveway.
Next time they do it, move their car for them by ramming it.

Hell yeah, i think they would stay clear. I cant beliee they would just park behind you like that, with a drive way and all. You should do it to them one day, and see how they react to it. I hate situations like that, they always leave you in a bind. Well good luck w/ that. Hope your kids made it to school on time!

I would have shouted "OK im counting to ten",
through the letterbox .And said that if they didnt answer the door by the time I have count to ten~Then i will smash my way into the house and personally come and get them to remove their poxy vehicle by force if need be.
They have a bad cheek to do this, and are just taking the piss

Put a small board informed of your house not to park the car there. If they still do it then you tell them you are not happy with such behaviours. In case if this repeats again let the local council or the police no. This is in the ultimate situation
