I don't think a chiropractor is the right answer. When I had pain like that my doctor sent me to a Physical Therapist. That guy said always sit on a comfortable chair (beds were not designed for sitting). He also said don't keep sitting for more than an hour - get up and move around once an hour. There are also some simple exercises to strengthen your back muscles that you can try.

You might want to visit a chiropractor who can x-ray your spine or give you a referral for an x-ray so that you can really get to the bottom of your spinal problem. You did not mention your age, so I cannot comment definitively on whether you might have osteoarthritis beginning in your spine, which would otherwise be another possibility.

I have the same thing..when I sit down on certain chairs in my house I get severe back pain...I crack it myself and it feels better.

So yea, probably best to see the chiropractor.

you totally should see a ciropractor

>> here is a tip, when you sleep try laying flat on your bed and your legs up on a pillow.. so basically you should be flat but you legs should be on top of a pillow or two...

Try a chiropractor! They work wonders. You may have to go back multiple times before everything gets back in line, but it's work it.

Are you pulling behind your head when you sit up? Try holding a medicine ball above your knees, and bring your upper body up to it (without moving your legs or the ball.)
