Make sure you know what you are there to see. That will take you all the time you have.

If you are 'just a visitor' you will need a few hours to have glanced at all the stuff they have on display.

Hi,

When arriving to Paris, make sure that you buy the Museum Pass (can be bought at the Louvre).
With the pass, you don't have to wait in the line to get into the D'Orsay. Enter through the press door.
Same at Versailles : there's a specific door for pass owners.

Best regards,

José

You could do it in a day but you would get indigestion if you tried to see it all. Pick one or two sections. ( The impressionists are really fine ) Pre-book your tickets or you will waste a lot of time queueing to get in. For a VERY much more manageable experience go to the Petit Palais gallery which is FREE and a really great building as well as a good collection. Good luck....enjoy it.

well I was there one day, but I didn't see the entire thing, i only saw the impreshionist (sp?) like monet, renoir artists like that. so i'd say 2 days. Tip: go2 the 5th floor it has the best paintings there. Oh and get the Paris Pass it lets you go into sooo many museums!

If you're really tough you can make it in one day, morning to evening... but I suggest you pick out the sections you're interested in and stick to them. You can make it in 1/2 day that way.
