RE:
What letter to write to someone in jail?
A good friend of mine has been sentenced to jail and I want to write to him, what do you suggest to write and say? It's so difficult, I don't want to sound like a sap.

People in jail are grateful for any contact from the outside. I would just tell him that you have been thinking about him and hope that he is OK, ask if there is anything that you can do for him or get for him, and let him know that you care. Your support will mean a lot, so don't put if off just because you feel awkward. Imagine how awkward he must feel!

You just write about anything new happening on the outside, ask him how he is,they like to hear about things that are familiar to them or any new changes going on,keep him up to date with things that are happening on the outside, and don't write any swear words as some jails ink this out, don't write about any illegal things as all letters are opened and read before the prisoners recieve them.

If he is a good friend then write him a letter, about yourself, talk to him like always did, also encourage him be positive. Ask if there is anything you could send him like stamps a little money for commissary (to buy personal items and cigarettes) Be supportive.
Send him magazines, books whatever they allow. Just be the friend you have always been he will appreciate that.

u can ask him questions which he will feel happy to write about .... ask him how he spends his time in jail and suggest him some ideas if u can. ask him if u could send him something which could help lik a best selling book or comic. u could tell him about ur problems or ask him for advise for any issues. that will help him think of some answers for u and waste some time thinking of solutions for u.
you could tell him that they he is dearly missed but say that he js remembered. hope this helps x

Dear Friend:
It's important to remember that a cavity search has nothing to do with your teeth. However, a "lady" will be looking in your various nooks and crannies for contraband (drugs, weapons, etc.) That doesn't mean you can't keep other things in your cavities like candy or shampoo, but contraband will be confiscated. This procedure will not be videotaped unless you specifically request it.
Since you'll be staying in the "Special Needs Section" of the prison (and I'm not sure if this means you're important or retarded), think of your cell as a special VIP club that only you can get into. Maybe Red Bull will sponsor it!
Getting out of jail is like getting out of a full body cast; it feels great, but you'll be stinky and hairy when you emerge.
Oh! And when the guards give you attitude, put them in their place by reminding them that your taxes pay their salary, so technically you're their boss. Believe me -- public servants never get sick of hearing that!

i gotta homeboy in jail and i was puzzled by the same question....hes written back and you have to learn to carry on conversation without always mentioning where they are since alot of things are routine for them they dont always have alot to say, but you can talk about how youve been doing what your up to ask him if he needs anything, what all your allowed to send to him, ask if you can visit- theyre always up for company....let him know how his fam is doing or how friends are and what theyre up to....good luck

Just write about what's going on in your life and let them know you're thinking of them. Always remember to mention the parties you've been attending and the great sex (with members of the OPPOSITE GENDER) you're having hourly. That's alway good reading material and a real morale booster.
