I was told recently by my vet that animals are becoming resistant to Frontline and that is why they now recommend Stronghold instead. Don't know if anyone else has heard this from their vet? Frontline now doesn't need a prescription either in the UK. Now widely available on the internet. A web site worth visiting for cheap prices on Frontline and wormers such as Panacur is www.hyperdrug.com which has free postage on wormers.

To be honest, I thought Frontline was for fleas and Stronghold for worms, but I could be wrong. Try www.evs.co.uk for good prices

Frontline treats flea and ticks, Frontline Plus also kills the flea eggs and larvae.

Stronghold treats fleas, sarcoptes mites, ear mites and roundworms - it does not treat tapeworms so it is not a complete wormer.

Yes you can buy it online but I don't advise it because people often end up with convincing looking but bogus products.

frontline covers fleas and ticks, as well as some skin mites

stronghold (or revolution - as its called in some parts of the world)
kills fleas, intestinal worms (but not tape worms)., ear mites, lice and fur mites

both need a prescription in the UK

I think also that stronghold is for bigger dogs,if you have a small/medium dog I think frontline is best.
