Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com
It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

You can use Google Accelerator to improve things, but really it's high time you went broadband; dial-up is dead!
If you are in a situation where you only have temporary residence, you can ask your landlord to allow you to purchase a single month broadband subscription: These are expensive - about £20 compared to £10, but there is no contract and it expires automatically after 30 days. You'll need a modem/router but you can pick up a used wired one (ie; not wireless) for less than £10.
Alternatively, ask your neighbors if they have broadband and see if they will allow you to use their network; you'll only need a wireless network adapter (about £20) and a network that is in range - next door is ideal.
McDonalds have recently announced that they are planning to offer free wi-fi in all their restaurants (though I wouldn't call McDonalds a restaurant) so you can get broadband for free to go with your fries and coke.

nicely first it sounds as though such as you dont know what your talking approximately. internet Modem? Adsl, Cable, 56k modem? yet your receive speeds will variety on how and what you're downloading and the place you're downloading from. whilst you're downloading from a application like kazaa or emule to illustrate that is going to variety on the different materials attainable and there speeds basically as much as yours. in case your connection is sluggish and your computing gadget is sluggish then this wont help

Yes, there are two steps you can take:
1) Put a NOS sticker on the right side of your monitor
2) Upgrade your Internet Connection
*Note: Second option may not work
