yes and no..this "catholic antichrist" got started by people who read the book of revelation but not the book of daniel.or Isaiah...they have an incomplete picture

they were guessing because the woman that sits on the beast is a city on 7 hills.....but first , who is the woman?

it later explains that the 7 not only represents 7 hills, but also 7 kings......the beast is the anti-christ,,,not the woman....

the beast will have an association with the city of rome, which does not necessarily mean the vatican.

a fallen element of the catholic church and other churches could be involved with the beast as a false religious system, who would go along with the antichrist....but the followers and the antichrist are 2 diffrent elements in the prophesy.

the beast is very specifically described in daniel and confirmed in revelation.....it consists of the selucid portion of the ancient greecian empire represented by the lion ( babylon), bear ( persia), and leopard ( greece)..

the antichrist will be a gentile muslim with an assyrian background ( Isaiah 10), he will be of a royal family (daniel 9) and will be made king of babylon ( Isaiah 13,14) ..the beast represents the kingdom of the antichrist...and it is all represented by muslim countries now.

the map below shows the territory which will be dominated by the beast (antichrist) in the latter days, which we are in right now. this represents the territory in the prophesy. the outline actually looks like a beast too.

The anti Christ according to the bible will come from a land that is now occupied by Muslims. He will be born into wealth and be liked by everyone while gaining his seat as king. I think George W. Bush thinks he's the anti Christ.

How sure are you about the anti-christ?

What are your grounds?

Wasn't the warning about the anti-christ given to Catholics.
Why would Catholics become the anti-christ when they are warned of the anti-christ.
We are the Church built by Jesus. Even to the gates of hell we will not fall.

Your church just came after the Catholic Church. Isn't it more logical that your church is more likely the anti-Christ? Since you are against the Church built by Jesus.

In MY OPINION... each person in him/herself is the antichrist... as we are selfish & greedy inside, against God.

Romans 9:20 Nay but, O man, who are you that replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus?

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Also, read Matthew 7.

I do agree there will be a physical man that is called the anti-christ, but I won't speculate too much here. The Illuminati is one that I would consider.

Catholics are people and not antichrists.
Do we have horns and tails too? Let me check;no, I don't, not yet anyway
Is your next move to put us all in concentration camps if we persist in our fullness of the Christian Faith?

If you are Christian at all thank Catholics( if you are European ancestryyou have many Catholic ancestors) who passed down the Faith, the Bible, the Creeds, etc to you

Since you are in the condemning mood why not continue on to demonize all Muslims too? Oh, I notice that you already are doing that.

How about all Hindus,Buddhists, etc? All damned antichrists too? How about all Protestants "of the 30,000 sects" that disagree with your particular apocalyptic theology?

Let us pray for each other.
O Lord, shed your light of reason and love! God bless, anyway! Maranatha!

You claim Catholics are anti-Christ's but you do not provide evidence to substantiate your claim.

Logically speaking, the reason you did not provide evidence is because you are either unwilling or unable to provide evidence.

It doesn't make any sense for you to be able to, and choose not to. Therefore, I have no choice but to presume you are unable to provide evidence because no such evidence exists.

an oxymoron if nothing else -- Catholics are Christians -- so how can they be the AntiChrist.
without getting into Apocalypse / [Revelation] (a complicated & mysterious book) --
yes I'm Catholic, still hopefully objective -- if someone completely prejudiced, condemns an entire group of believers, then somewhat hateful, this allied with the Evil One, and so in turn indirectly allied with AntiChrist?

Although I kind of agree with the sentiment, I think the question is illogical. It doesn't make sense to call them the anti-christ because you are using their ideas and terminology, and thus are validating it (and how can you compare anything to something that you don't believe exists?)
