jogging is the best sport as it works all of your body parts. No need to jog for a long time....Little and often is more effective than lots less often so start with say half an hour twice a week? then just increase from there as you feel fit.
I used to jog only once a week for an hour and i couldnt believe the transformation in my fitness =]

There are immense benefits to jogging in many different areas, it will not only make you fitter (by decreasing your resting heart rate and improving your lung function), it will burn off a lot of calories, which will obviously make you lose weight too. These health benefits (amongst others, these are just a few examples) will decrease your chances of things like heart disease, obesity, type II diabetes, COPD, Cancer and many other things later in life. It will also give your mind many benefits too, jogging is a great stress reliever and is proven (with any other excercise) to help beat things like depression.
There is no real 'time limit' for jogging, it's up to you. But try running untill you are working your heart at between 70 - 85% of it's max depending on if you want a medium or heavy workout that day.
A good benchmark I use (from when I was in the army) is to be able to do a mile and a half in anywhere between 10 and 12 minutes.
Good luck.

Hi there, jogging is a great way of doing some cardiovascular activity that allows you to maintain your body weight level or low if you do it long enough. I've had some weight problems in my life, and I resorted to attending some weight loss camps like the ones on http://www.fitnesscamps.net/ and it was the best thing i've done in my life. What they said to that question was that whatever exercise you did for cardio was that you should do 40 minutes of it at a continuous time. This helps you maintain your blood sugar levels even, and it has the best effect on Blood pressure maintenance. I currently run about 50 minutes a day which pans out to about an 8km run which just makes me feel great. I do notice some knee pain though sometimes so i opt for the elliptical efx machine in my house. You might want to try one of those, they really are a lot easier on the knees. Good luck!

To begin ... start walking and run for a minute walk for a minute then build it up from there, time scale you could go out for 30- 60 minutes, depending on your fitness level, your body is the best juge of your capabilities so if your sore and tired , slow down and stop,, dont get out of breath and keep the pace steady... you will increase you lung capacity, build up your muscle power and stamina, plus you will burn of loads of calories... take afriend with you for support and a good set of head phones with your fav fast dance music on , this gets your adrenaline pumping and you feel full of enery, oh and drink plenty water an hour before you go out, or take a small drinking bottle with you... happy jogging ... i go out three times a week

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/iaHqZ
A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

Running does cause a lot of stress on the body. Walking is so much better for you, so walk, you will strengthen yourself. You should also be taking a supplement to strengthen your bones. Check with a health store to find out what is available to use.
