I don't think you need a religion, but then I'm not religious! I don't think your parents should in any way seek to influence what you believe; you are the one who has to live with it so what they think counts for zero in this decision. Personally, I've found that although a lack of religion can be scary because of the apparent lack of meaning in the world, when you feel that YOU are in charge of your identity, and YOU control your own moral code, you are much more likely to be a well-rounded, free-thinking person, who has true (and not just parroted) conviction in their beliefs. Do you believe the things you were told because they really seem true to you or because it is basically the only thing you have ever been told, and you are afraid to oppose ideas held by those closest to you for fear that they might reject you? I can't tell you whether to believe in God or not, but I can tell you that if you find out for yourself (which will definitely take time) and don't accept everything you hear at face value you will have 1000 times the conviction in your belief system. Good luck, I hope you figure out what's right for you.

You're like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, who always had those ruby slippers, but never realized what they were good for, until it was almost too late.

God has already lovingly provided for your every need, through his Holy Catholic Church.

You already have the means to supernatural salvation and peace at your disposal.

Learn more about the Catholic faith. Practice the Catholic faith. Live the Catholic faith.

Then you will know that God loves you, you will come to believe that God will provide ... and you will finally be able to relax, and get on with your life.

Send for my free Catholic Resource CD, which will explain everything, and you'll be on your way.

it is not that Catholics worship Mary, yet they supply the effect and visual attraction that they worship Mary. whilst a guy or woman sees the Pope kneel down on stay television till now a statue of Mary and spend time in prayer, it quite is an quite stable effect that leads me to have faith that he's, certainly, worshiping Mary. i be attentive to and understand that Catholics do _not_ worship Mary, however the visual attraction that they do is stressful to overcome. and due to this this is amazingly common to make a assertion that Roman Catholics worship Mary. If the Catholics have been smart, they does not show their faith is one in all those deceptive way (and this is deceiving, in any different case, why could I make the assertion that it particular sounds like worship to me?). TDs predicted from the Catholics extra: it is not proper what you asked for (and no, i don't be attentive to of anyplace interior the Catechism the place it says that Catholics are to worship Mary). i'm nevertheless left with that effect from remark.

These things are alway`s traumatic but you must realize that bad things do happen to good people and this is a fact of life.
You know God is not a glorified janitor,He gave us our life and we have to get on with it through the good times and the bad,it is still true even in our modern times that sin has caused terrific upset to the balance of life and affects the whole of humanity.
God loves all of us and He really does help us in ways we barely notice, but God is not the cause of our pains and troubles, they are down to ourselves, if you think this world is hard and cruel imagine what it would be like if God was absent.

We all go through this at some point in time. I was 15 once too, so I know. But here I am today and I can truly say that having a religion and believing in God is the best gift. Yes, horrible things happen and they happen because God loves you more and He wants you to be happy with Him in heaven some day.

Simple question:
Would you rather be happy in this world and be miserable for the rest of eternity in the next world, or carry your cross in this world and be happy for the rest of eternity in the next?

Why do you think Jesus said this;'

(Matthew 7:13-23) “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it. 15 “Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits YOU will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? 17 Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; 18 a good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. 19 Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Really, then, by their fruits YOU will recognize those [men]. 21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

Some religions look good but are they doing what jesus asked.

Is the Catholic church obeying Matthew 28; 19,20
are they preaching the Kingdom...Matthew 6; 9.10
Why do they teach that Jesus IS God, when Jesus himself said this;
(John 5:19) Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

No wonder he said...get away from me, you workers of lawlessness...

ignore the atheists.the devil uses them to prey upon your
weaknesses which we all have.
its just reality that people die.we all have lost loved ones and
friends and hope they are in a better place.
each person has their own relationship with God and you cant
base it on a particular church or denomination.you seek him
through prayer and his holy scriptures.
dont put faith in mankind.put your faith in Jesus cause he
is the way the truth and the life.

religion is not the answer my dear... its FAITH. Faith in God and that He will not forsake you. God doesn't give us a cross that we cannot carry.

When things go wrong as they do, its a way of calling our attention and an opportunity to check our faith.

Remember God cannot fix it unless its broken. Brokeness gives us blessings from the Lord. Accept that the Lord is your one and only Savior and your burden will be light.

Religion doesn't teach you to handle life or become mentally stronger. Religion teaches you to be weak and place your life into the hands of an imaginary being.

You need to pull yourself together. Don't blame god for there is no evidence of his existence.
It's unfortunate about what's happened to you, but you must regain trust & confidence in yourself to carve your niche in this world. I have confidence you can do it, just like I did to my life without that imaginary guy.
