I frequently fill the kettle at work right to the top and then boil it when I have no need for hot water because I know it will annoy a work colleague due to the wasted electricity.

Being concerned about that small amount of electricity that is wasted on boiling some water is not normal behavior. Boiling the kettle just for the hell of it is funny.

It is normal behavior for a thirteen year old, but then it is good to know that your inner child is alive and well. I used to have a really nasty co-worker and sometimes when she went to do work in the file room, I would go in an let some silent, but deadly farts. My inner child is about 10, even though I'm sixty. Keeps me laughing!

we don't have stove at work we use micro wave and hot water is automatic from the water fountain red for hot blue is for cold.
