I've recently bought my first Computer (laptop). Windows Vista. It was fine until last night when I clicled onto Internet explorer. Than it tells me I have a virus and wont let me in. It really is starting to p..... me off. I've run Norton and thats says theres nothing wrong. HOW do I reformate my hard drive.

please dump Norton's and then use "AVG" instead as this is your problem. this will help you.

The virus you have is called Norton Antivirus. It is blocking your access to the web. Go in and lower the privacy rating or even enter the site desired as allowed in Norton. It is one of the two worst programs sold.

You have to reformatting HD with some of older programs, in ths case is the best way that you use win 98 startup diskette and run format disc option. After that you can install new support (by my opinion XP is much better than vista). Veradisca & Best Regards, Neven.

The outher two answers are right,i dumped Norton and went to AVG because i feel it is the best program with no hassels and it is free.
