It is 1:18 am. I need to be at work at 6 am. I already HATE my job, and my performance has been suffering at work. As well as my attendance. I just got back from a 2 1/2 week medical leave of absence for my anxiety, on Oct 1st. I want to just call my manager, tell him I cannot come in, and that I am willing to face the consequences. I am hoping I do get fired, so I will be on a hunt for something new and not so draining and awful. I work at an inbound call center, for a wireless company.

I had a job like that and stuck it out until I did something very stupid. Don't quit because you need that job on your resume. It's easier to get a new job when you have a job. Start looking and have the interviews after you get off work. New employers will understand if you tell them the job is simply an unpleasant place to work. Don't go into detail, keep it simple. Put together a good resume before you start applying. Get a POWER resume book and spend the time because it will greatly help you get a new and better job. It won't take long to find another job and then you should give two weeks notice so that you are doing the right thing. Start looking now and then go to work, do your job and then move on as soon as you find what you want. Don't mess yourself up. Just remember when you get upset at work, you are on your way out and the joke is on them. That should make you smile and they will wonder what happened to you.

This is your life and don't do anything that makes you unhappy .... go and find the job of dreams and if you can't do it go and get training at the colleges to do it ! Most courses are funded too ...

WHY ? are you suffering like this no one has a gun to your head ! leave this forsaken hell hole and go and find a better job or at the least work somewhere that makes you feel happy .... remember this chinese proverb " If you enjoy your job ...you will never do a hard days work "

15 years ago I was nothing more than a qualified waitress !!! with zero qualifications left with a baby to bring up ... it was my dream to be qualified and in a skilled profession by the time my son left school so that he could be proud of his mum and not embarrassed. He leaves school next year and now 15 years later and after training in a variety of colleges I am professionally qualified in Beauty therapy , Image consultancy , teaching, nutrition , ear pearcing , Creative Nails and several other related subject areas ....

What are you waitng for ??? DON'T waste another day of YOUR life... the world is your oyster darling ... that's a point what about cruise ships ?? Go for it babe.... jump before your pushed ... only those who got off early survived the TITANIC ..... good luck .. x

I think you shouldn't take anymore days off. You are in risk of getting fired if you take too many days off. Its going to be hard to get another job if you get fired because the other jobs are going to ask "Why did you leave the other job" and their going to wonder how many days you usually take off at work, I think you should just work until you find another job, because the actions you take now can discredit you in the near future. I hope that helped you.

Hi, well, everybody hates now and then what one is doing, especially a job that does not fulfill ones expectations! So is life unfortunately.
Have you other possibilities you should take them but first and before you leave this present job, is to look for anothre one and when you find the one then you quit
That´s what I would do!
Good luck! Ninos

Why don't you go to work and look for another job if this one doesn't suit you?

If you "screw over" this employer, it make come back to haunt you--no matter how much the job sucks.

Be professional--you could be on the other end of it someday, and it won't hurt you to find another job and give your two weeks notice.

It may look better to other prospective employers if you quit. If asked why you left the position you can say medical problems.
