I see an "over-weight" female walking down the street wearing a very short skirt and a belly shirt. Now I "believe" she needs to change her clothes, but she "believes" she looks good. Would I have the right to "bash" her because she believes in something I don't?

Bashing is different than an informed opinion. One is not a hypocrite for follows the edicts of what God taught. Which is to test everything and not adhere to that which is not from Him. With that said...bashing is a harsh attack. Disagreement does not equate to bashing. I get told that by some atheists on here alot. So there ya go. Gods peace :)

Ther is no need to "BASH" them or the athiest for that matter. I feel really sorry for them. They are in their twisted minds "RIGHT" and like us Christians, nothing anyone can say or do will change OUR minds either. They are some very "bitter people" that is for sure, so if I were YOU I would just pity them and say a prayer that one day the LORD will open their eyes also!! I just wish I was as smart as they thought they were. HAHAHA....LOL That's not bashing is it?

I don't believe that bashing any group can be justified Scripturally. Doing so is in direct conflict with the teachings of Jesus. We will do well to learn to "speak the truth in love." It has been said that "people don't care how much you know until they know you care." This self-righteous, know-it-all brand of Christianity that I see flaunted about on R&S has nothing to do with the Jesus that I know. When the need arises to speak the truth, statements of fact (not opinion) of what a group believes contrasted with what Scripture says (accurately!) is sufficient. That does not grant permission for Christians to ridicule or demean others, or to call them names, because of their belief systems. If you believe they are in error, the appropriate response is to pray for them -- while praying that God develop in each of us self-control and gentleness, which are among the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5).

It depends on your definition of "bash" If bash means ridicule, show hate and indifference, belittle...then no, it's not OK. If bash means to disagree, opposing views, to respectfully ask questions, point out the reason for the differing beliefs--then I think this sort of bashing is acceptable. Kind of like the TV program "Point-Counterpoint".

No. You should not "bash" anyone, but try to lead them to the truth. Bashing would just strenghten their resolve to stay within the religion. Gentleness and truth need to be applied with some help from the Holy Spirit.

Yes because it was founded by a Hubbard, a mentor of Aleister Crowley, the evil git & satanist referred to as 'The Beast'. If you wanna argue fine I know a whole darn lot about Crowley, including reading his books which prove how evil & twisted he is. One of Scientologys core themes is OPPOSING Christianity, etc!

It doesn't matter who you are; Scientology is ripe for the picking!

I mean the founder said "The quickest & easiest way to make a million bucks is to start your own religion!" He was a sci-fi author who was obsessed with money & deluding people! Look at how many lives they have ruined, harassing former members who left till they kill themselves!

As watchmen we are to point out error. And Scientology is doing nothing more than leading lost souls straight to Hell. Its not bashing it only stating the Truth.

I'm not a christian, but from what I know about Christianity (from my uncle and his family), the answer would be no. Deniers are to be treated with patience and love, not bashing.

No.

I agree with ZC though, it's perfectly alright to tell the truth about a religion. We just have to be very careful about that.

As for me, I'd rather demonstrate why I believe Christianity is the truth, instead of demonstrating why I believe all the others AREN'T.
