You are going back a long way to recount some of these as countries. Bilbao is only a city in Basque region in Spain.

Do you also think that places like Cornwall should become independent countries? If a place has a right to Independence it will come.

Why not? They earned their independence the hard way with up to 70 years of Communist rule. Some of them had not existed since before World War l. They deserve what they have.
