This is a loaded question. Too many forms of answer, lol. You could have 15 minutes or a few hours to prepare.
So will say could be from something as simple as grilled cheese and tomato soup. To a full Turkey dinner complete with stuffing and pumpkin pie.
And thing to have to think on is do you have a few dollars to spend or an uplimited budget?
This could take you from a dinner of ramen noodles, to one of steak and lobster.
Wish you a lot of luck and good flavor.

Stir Fry Chicken Recipe
u need
2 tablespoons of oil (I use vegetable )
13/15 chicken breast tenders chopped into 1" pieces
3 cloves fo finely chopped garlic cloves
1 cup of kikkoman
1 onion chopped
_stir fry sauce_
1 cup kikkoman
1 Table spoon of sugar
1 table spoon of flour
Whisk these three ingredients together till chunks are all out. Combine Chicken, 1 cup kikkoman, garlic cloves and onion and let sit, refrigerated for about an hour to marinade. Put oil in skillet or wok heat till moderately warm then cook chicken ingredients in a hot skillet till chicken is fully cooked. Once the chicken is cooked, lower flame then add stir fry sauce, cover and let simmer for about 3 minutes or till sauce thickens. You may also add chinese vegetable mix before adding the sauce

stir fry veg
Simple Vegetable Stir Fry
Prep time: 15 minutes, Serves 4
2 Tbsp. Wild Oats Oragnic Olive Oil
1 garlic bulb, peeled and crushed
1 bunch asparagus, loosely chopped (cut off hard ends)
1 yellow pepper, sliced lengthwise into strips
1 red pepper, sliced lengthwise into strips
1 red onion, peeled and sliced lengthwise into strips
1 Tbsp. parsley
1 Tbsp. basil
Heat oil in large pan over medium high heat. Once hot, add garlic and mix around until fragrant, but do not burn. Then add all the vegetables and turn heat down to medium and cook for 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring consistently to prevent burning. Lastly, sprinkle herbs evenly over vegetables. Serve hot
-------------------------
Simple Vegetable Soup
2 medium tomatoes, peeled and seeded
2 small russet potatoes, peeled
2 carrots, peeled
2 garlic cloves, peeled
2 cups vegetable broth (can use chicken broth)
salt, to taste (broth usually has enough)
1/2 teaspoon white pepper (if you use black it won't be as pretty)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil
# Coarsely chop vegetables.
# Add all ingredients except herbs and lemon juice to broth in a sauce pan, and bring to a boil. Decrease heat, cover pan, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until vegetables are soft.
# Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Add lemon juice and herbs, and process in food processor or food mill until smooth.
# At this point, soup can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen up to 3 months.
# Serve soup either hot or cold. Garnish with fresh herbs or other topping of your choice

First of all..we must decide what you like, and what will
be appropriate and BTW..who are you serving? How many?
How formal or casual do we feel?? :-)
Being...
from Ga., I might say good ole Southern fried chicken
(or steak) gravy, mashed potatoes, a good veggie ,
fruit dessert and biscuits..see why we tend toward fat here?? :-)
