Pop a mint into your mouth and them give him one too. Don't ask if he wants one, just give it to him. Or better yet, slip it into his mouth during the kiss.

I think honest, kind, sincere communication about this might be helpful. I think you have phrased it just the right way: "I love kissing you, but sometimes I have difficulty with your breath." I know a couple who also had difficulty with this problem and they researched together and found a mouthwash that helped. Now they are very happy. I think if you make it clear that you want to kiss him more and you like him for who he is the right intention should come through.

I'm pretty straight forward, if my boyfriend's breath stinks, I tell him so. Maybe you're not as upfront as me. Try offering him gum or mints, maybe he'll get the hint. Or mention that it's a big turn-on to you when a guy has great breath.

Try putting the blame on yourself, i know this sounds funny, but you won't offend if you say something to the effect of "oh man I need a breath mint" especially after a meal, maybe in the process he'll become more oral hygienically aware of himself.

Well if he wants to kiss you then just tell him that you want a fresh kiss and get him a tooth brush and a tongue scrapper.
