I had clear vision after the first cataract surgery on my right eye.

If you just had cataract surgery recently and your vision is getting worse you should call the surgeon now. If you had surgery a while ago and now it is getting fuzzy you might need a membrane zapped with a a laser

I had cataract surgery 4 years, and after two years of complaining there was still something across my line of vision, I had YAG. After YAG, I still had a the smudge, and then would see starburst at night when looking at lights. All of this I reported to the doctor and was told there was nothing more he could do, that I needed to realize I had eye surgery and my eyes would not be the same as when I was 20. I continue to have annual eye exams and always am told everything looks great. I do not know who or where to go from here. I am frustrated and worry that I will lose my vision. My father had macular and I do have the testing every year and am told all looks good. Any suggestions?

That's quite common. The membrane that holds the lens in place often clouds up after cataract surgery. Repairing it is normally a simple treatment with a laser in the doctor's office.

The only thing I can add to Willow's answer is that the sac that is left during the operation can in time tend to cloud up whereas alot of patients think the cataract has regrown (the cataract is removed,it can't grow back as it's not there). This cloudiness can be resolved with a few bursts of laser to break up the cloudy sac which at that time is not longer needed.

Sometimes the lens clouds over but you can get it lasered clear again . Thats what happened to me.
