Cute...How many Frenchmen does it take to defend the French mainland?...
Nobody knows, it's never been attempted!
...And per answerer number one...there are are no French troops in Iraq Le Troll...

How could a Frenchman possibly get killed in Iraq? There is a war there, that means the French have already departed..
I like that French tank - neutral & reverse, very good!

French and British lack of initiative and policies failed to stop Germany in 1936 and preventing WWII. Nevertheless, Countries from around the world stood togeather and fought against the axil powers. Thousands upon thousands of soldiers of every nationality made the ultimate sacrafice for someone elses mistake.
Sometimes you just need to "man-up" and fix the problem yourself, because no one else is going to.

I am an American would like to know why when the French military blows it the American Military is sent in to fix the problem? Examples are World War l, World War ll, and Viet Nam. Also, why did Charles De Gaul ask for help in Morocco. he then turned around and demanded gold for all the dollars he had in French banks.

Hey "Frenchie" remember the important facts of what the military is for? It defends its country and its peoples in time of war, it maintians and secures its borders with other countries, it does untold other duties & provids every type of services to maintain utilities in the event of industrial strikes or whatever.
That said, just what the hell has the French Military achieved and/or done since the late 1880's? It got overrun and surrendered in 2 World Wars! The greater part of the western world rallying to your rescue. What thanks did they ever get? None! De Gaulie tumed his back on every allied organisation established to protect Europe and western democracy!
Continually since the end of WW11 you've had your butts kicked by every army or armed organisation / rebellion that has railed against your regime for whatever cause! From Indo China, Algeria and onwards!
And what of the Middle East? The entire problems in the ME can be / are undeniably that of the French! France for years gave shelter and protection to the Ayotollah despite years of objection by allied and foreign governments! Albeit the UK, Israli and US Inteligence services were bent on assassinating him, knowing only too well what would befall the Middle East in the event he was allowed to return to Iran and would then impose.
It suffices to say all these years on - no one ever imagined the extent of what the Iran people would endure and be forced to accept!
But what did France do? Your security spirited him away when a British Diplomat quietly gave his French friends the whisper that triparte secret service agents were going to raid his villa and kill him! (I.e. do not be in the area yourselves if a fire fight breaks out with his Arab protectors - people might get hurt).
The Britsh Diplomat thrown out the Govt when discovered!
Not only that! France flew him back to Tehran. Stuffing the plane full of foreign observers and newspaper men to ensure his plane could not then be shot down enroute!
France then going on for years protecting him by aiding and abetting in all the crimes he then vested on the Iran military, government officials, families who were loyal to the Shah. Plus killing, murdering, torturing thousands of young people - some whose only crime was wearing mini skirts, fashionable clothes and listening to western music and digesting its culture.
Destroying familes, plundering their properties, imprisoning many and raping countless thousands of Iranian women not forgetting the murder of many! Also setting up spy rings throughout the middle east to topple countries imbude of western influence i.e. supporting underground Islamic insurgents to over throw them and returning to the dark ages
U show your head in Iraq, yes, u would get shot!
If they don't shoot u - then I know countless observers and many others who witnessed the violent early years of the Ayotollahs evil perpertration in Iran & what he vested upon it and coutless other border states who would'nt shoot u!
They'd dismember you with a knife / slow, methodical, cattle slaughter fashion!

Maybe because France's cities are the closest and most accessible Western cities for nuclear-armed Muslim terrorists to mess with.
