If its very very itchy, try:
Iterax, e.g. Hydroxyzine
Note: You'll feel sleepy after around 3 to 5 minutes so it is advised that you take it before you go to bed to sleep. It also helps control inflammation or swelling.

If you don't want to get drowsy, try the following:
Cetirizine 10mg/tablet, e.g., Virlix or Zinex
Loratadine10 mg/tablet, e.g., Claritin (high-end), Loratadine, or Allerta (low-end)
Ebastine 20 mg/tablet, e.g., Aleva

If these still doesn't work, try:
Fexofenadine 180mg/tablet, e.g., Telfast

Note: Take the medicine once a day, for one whole week. If you don't get results, try another medicine. Remember to take the medicine on the same period (if you take it in the morning, then do so everyday) to get better results. If things get worse, you can use one of the other tablets (during the day) plus one Iterax (at night). If things get worst, go to your doctor or allergocologist. You can ask him/her if s/he can give you a shot.

Go to the doctor and get a prescription for Beconase AQ or Nasonex. It is the only thing that helped me when my allergies were bad. If you can afford it, or insurance covers it, see about allergy shots. They will really help allergy to ragweed. I had a series of allergy shots and I have no problems with ragweed anymore.
