I've heard that immigrants get good support, expecially financial support in Israel.
Do have information about it?
What kind of help do immigrants recieve in Israel?
Thanks

Well, since well before independence in 48, Israel was founded on Zionist principles as a homeland for the Jewish diaspora, the leaders there have gone to considerable lengths to attract Jewish immigrants from other countries. Much to the dismay of their neighbors to be sure, but retaining the good feelings of the neighborhood was never a primary concern.

Hebrew was developed as a living modern language, and promoted as the national language. It didn't really exist as a common spoken language for several thousand years. Aramaic was the spoken language at the time of the Romans. So, teaching modern Hebrew has been a major effort for quite a long time. Israel has had an organized structure of government funded Hebrew language schools, called ulpans from the beginning. Israel also gives financial assistance to new immigrants and extends housing loans, helps with jobs, etc. I don't know of any other countries who come close to the support Israel offers immigrants, but then Israel considered it vital to their survival, so they are more highly motivated on immigration issues than other countries.

Here in the US, we offer support systems to incoming refugees. Not so much for immigrants though. It's a more Darwinian experience for them. So, legal immigrants are welcome here, but once they arrive, it's pretty much good luck, and God bless.

There is a 'catch-22' to your question: immigrants from CERTAIN COUNTRIES and of Jewish decent get a lot of support in Israel.

If you are from a western ally country and of Jewish heritage, Israel will assist you up one side and down the other in getting established. You receive financial, as well as, social support. They also will give you rights to own land and sometimes even a plot of land... depending on the depth of your Jewish heritage.

Israel? Good luck with that.

The only ones who would get any support are Jewish. And to be honest I've spoken with many people who went there and spent most of their time trying to find a way back out.
