There's nothing wrong with the name of Scout for a dog.
You can name your new puppy anything you like as long
as it is a nice name. Our son's family named their puppy,
who is now 6 years old, Fidget. The name fits her to a T.
She isn't still for too long.

If you have a sense of humor, go with "Cujo" from the Stephen King book/movie, after the rabid dog that terrorized people. If you want something more pleasant, there is "Argos" the loyal dog who waited twenty years for his master Odysseus to get home.
