Hi Annie, Infection or kidney stones can lead to mucous in the urine.
You should make an appointment with a specialist in Urology or with your a doctor. Testing the urine for blood and bacteria. If infection is present, it should be appropriately treated with antibiotics. Also cranberry is good for urinary problems. Marshmallow root is good for mucus from the urinary tract. There are other plants that come in pill form that you can get in a health food store that can be helpful.

Infection or stones can indeed lead to mucous in the urine.
Testing the urine for blood and bacteria should be considered. If infection is present, it should be appropriately treated with antibiotics.
If stones are of a concern, a CT scan can be done to rule this out - this would be the most sensitive test for this suspicion.
If the tests remain negative, a cystoscopy can be done to further evaluate the GU tract.
These options can be discussed with your personal physician or urologist.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
