is it a cold sore or a canker sore? cause there's a difference. canker sore is on the inside of your mouth. cold sore is on your lips.
if it's a cold sore... you have oral herpes. and you probably got it from sharing a drink with someone or chapstick that had it.
if it's a canker sore rinse your mouth out 2 times a day with 2 capfuls of hydrogen peroxide and get some orajel. (the stuff they use for babies that are teething)

You have a very common herpes infection. The large majority of people have cold sores. You just have to deal with them. Don't kiss anyone when you have a cold sore. There are over-the-counter remedies for cold sores. Ask your pharmacist about them.
