There is no question in your banter.
There is no Islamic law that recommends capital punishment for homosexuality.
If you met a handful of people who do not practise the religion they were born into, it is not your concern. At least they can think for themselves.

I'm an American Muslimah and I do know what Ramadan, Muhurram, Eid, etc. is. It depends on the person and how they were brought up. I've lived here practically my whole life, but yet I dont do sins that some other people have committed. I bet you can go to Pakistan, U.K., Saudi Arabia, Africa, anywhere you want and find many people that are not that devoted to Islam. I've been to other countries and let me tell you I am more modest and whatever amount I know of my religion, I actually follow and practice it.

I agree that they probably know more than me about Islam, but do they actually practice it?. They celebrate Eid, but they dont fast during Ramadan. They may pray once in a while, but they wear tight clothes and put themselves available to strangers.

I have cousins that recently moved here from Pakistan (one is 17 and the other is 22), and they are more modern than I am. They wear unappropriate clothes, do things that bring shame to their family, etc., but yet no one says anything to them simply because they lived in Pakistan and they get that certified ITS OKAY tag.

No, I dont wear a hijab, but that doesnt mean I flirt with other guys, lie to my parents about where I go, and other things that you arent suppose to do. But if my cousins do it, its ok.

The type of Muslim you are depends on the environment you live in, the way you were brought up, your personal belief, and other components.

At the end of the day you cant just say "Americans are the worst Muslims" thats just like saying "Saudi Arabia has the best Muslims". Only Allah can decide that.
