but sometimes, I feel like someone, specificly a man, possibly in his late 30's, is standing behind me with a knife. Usually, if I start to think about it, I will feel like someone is jabbing be with a knife handle. I can't ignore it either. When I get this feeling, I see myself, and the man. (example: If I'm in class and I get the feeling, I will see myself sitting, doing my work, and I will see the man, jabbing me with the knife handle.) I am getting this feeling quite often, and I am going to see a doctor on the 22nd, but I doubt I can wait until then. What is wrong with me, and does anyone else have this feeling or something similar to it?

that fits a psychosis picture, perhaps schizophrenia. If this is the only symptom then you have a good chance of managing this with medication alone and therapy like First Episode of Psychosis group. If the symptoms get worse then you may need a short stay in hospital for tests and working out medication. If you feel unsafe at all go to the hospital. Also, avoid any illicit drugs (if any) for the time being.

ok, dont let this freak you out, but this sounds like it could be skitosphrenia to me (sorry about the spelling) especially if you are an adolescent or young adult (high school or college?) I have a friend who seems completely normal but started seeing a girl in front of his house when he was in high school and found out he was skitso. generally, a psychological disease like this either involves feeling, hearing, or seeing something that is not there. (rain on your skin, someone talking to you about class, seeing someone, etc.) just do some research and stay calm, there are wonderful medicines out there, even if do have this there are ways to make your life completely normal, but also this may just be from stress, your past, etc. good luck. i you feel like you cannot wait go to urgent care or just call your doc and tell them, they will help you.

When did this all start? Was something specific happening in your life then? Is your life stressful right now? Have you ever dealt with demonic entities? How is your mental health; problems with depression, voices, etc.?

I have had things happen, but for a very short time. Order the person away from you in the name of Jesus Christ. Tell him to go where he belongs.

If this continues for you and you cannot make it to your scheduled appointment, call 911 and ask for the local crisis intervention counselor. They can provide support and sound advice on what to do. I am sure that this is quite scary and unsettling for you. I am glad that you recognize that this is not normal nor acceptable and I applaud your openness to seek treatment. Good Luck!
