Check your syllabus and see if it was a requirement. If not, then complain to your advisor or the head of the department (or ask another person in authority there who would be appropriate to talk to).

You should have cancelled the magazine subscription after receiving the first issue. Contact the magazine and tell them you never subscribed. If that doesn't work, contact the three credit agencies and report identity theft, claiming your professor forged your name on the subscription.

Were the issues sent to your home address? If not, you've got nothing to worry about.

I'm pretty sure he can't. He can't sign you up for anyhting without your permission. and no it won't ruin your credit forever. I would talk to the magazine and the head of your school before you pay it though. He can't subscribe you to something without your permission! NO WAY!

You must have signed for this subscription for it to be in your name. You should pay whatever is owing, then write to the magazine and cancel your subscription

He can't legally do that. Ask him to have your name taken off or you have charges baought against him for forgery and identity theft.

I'd speak with him first because something doesn't sound right there for a start.

If you didn't sign anything, you can't be charges for anything, nor can your credit be dinged,

Make Really sure that you didn't sign anything.
