Hmm... well... you could simmer it for about 2.5 hours... only about 5% will remain. baked/simmered, alcohol stirred into mixture: 15 minutes 40% 30 minutes 35% 1 hour 25% 1.5 hours 20% 2 hours 10% 2.5 hours 5% From there you would have to see what was left to mix it with the jello. Normally the mix is one cup boiling water 1 cup alcohol and 1 jello package to make shots. What I don't know is... how much of a cup of Malibu would be left after 2 and a half hours? I would suggest... as a alternative... perhaps substituting the Malibu with pineapple juice. Adding some coconut for garnish or coconut oil. Just tell her it is a secret. Cheers!

I like to use rum.
First put the bottle of rum (or whatever you choose to use) in the freezer.
Take your box of jello... Depending on the size of the box, it'll call for different amount, but I think you use one cup of boiling water, and one cup of cold water.
Boil the water, do that part according to the directions.
When the directions call for the cold water (say they call for a cup) you could do a whole cup of the rum from the freezer (they will be strong) OR you could use half a cup of cold water and half a cup of the cold rum (these won't be as strong)
When I make them, I usually make 2 boxes, one strong, and the other weaker.
When you start drinking, start with the weaker ones, then move onto the stronger ones.
Jello brand actually makes margarita and strawberry daiquiri flavored Jello. They also started making fusion, a blend of two flavors, I bought a box, but haven't made Jello shots from it yet.
Also make sure to make them far enough in advance. There's nothing worse than non-gelled Jello Shots.

If you don't want to taste the alcohol do not use straight vodka or gin. Use a mixture of half Pucker and half vodka/gin/etc. Get your jell-o and your liquor. Put you liquor in the freezer for at least an hour until it is ice cold. Then you make the jell-o. Depending on what flavor jell-o you get you should try to match up the flavor with that of the flavor Pucker you get (Pucker is brand name of flavored schnapps). Use water for the boiling water and use the liquor for the cold water. If you want to dilute the taste of alcohol even more you can use half water and half the mixture of the two liquors. Be wary though, if you put all alcohol in for your cold water and the proof of the alcohol is too high your jell-o won't set properly and you'll have jell-o soup.

Not strong but still get you drunk fast? That's an oxymoron.
The only way I see how that's possible is if you use vodka (which is fairly tasteless) but use a lot of sugar to mask the burn.

Vodka is my favorite to use for jello shots. If that's too strong for you, you could try schnapps.
