I have never heard of such a thing. I really do not see how it could work.
I know that chewing willow bark or leaves will alleviate fever but it is chemically feasible since willow contains the same chemicals as aspirin. I don't see how egg white on the thick skin of the soles of ones feet could alleviate fever.

not a genius...haven't you ever worked with eggs? The whites, while everyone tells you are all water, are actually a protein (clare) that is water soluable yet in an osmosis situation will draw water "up the gradient" because of their higher concentration than mere water. Egg whites dry things out...look at baking techniques.

There is no medical or rational reason this would work NOR is there any modification of it utilized in the hospital setting ...where people have hyperthermia/fever problems all the time.

RE: "concept of protein denaturation"...simply, it just means to change the "normal characteristics" of the protein. I have no idea in what context to address that. Proteins can be simple or complex and can be broken down to amino acids.
Need more information to help you....

It doesn't draw a fever away, it is an old wise tale but it will make a nice tightening effect on your skin. It makes for a good sheen, when brushed on pies and bread to be baked too..

that's fraud. the best thing to do is get a washcloth and get it wet from cold water make it fold like a rectangle and put on the forehead. this feels really good and takes away fever. i promise.
